2044 Azores High

In the year 2044, the Azores High merged with another high pressure system causing the resultant anticyclone to reach 1064 millibars in March. The system then climbed to 1085 millibars breaking the previous highest pressure record of 1083.3 millibars. This high would eventually weaken back to 1024 millibars, while it was strong it caused fast trade winds and tropical waves that never developed further. The 2044 Atlantic hurricane season was severely inactive only 1 tropical storm formed in the Gulf of Mexico which quickly dissipated due to very unfavorable conditions.
